Nixle provides the residents of Jefferson County information about emergencies in the county directly to their mobile device. This service is free to you and provides you the necessary information that you need to keep yourself, your family, your friends, and your neighbors safe. In order to sign up for these alerts go to https://local.nixle.com/register/ OR, on your cell phone, text your Jefferson County zip code to 888777 to opt in. There is no charge to sign up for Nixle services. Everyone living, working, or visiting in Jefferson County is encouraged to sign up for these alert notifications. Once registered for Nixle, you will receive alerts anywhere in the United States.”
